Rachel Eardley has spent over 3 years in corporate research working for Hewlett-Packard Research Laboratories in Bristol and at Microsoft Research in Cambridge, where she worked on numerous research projects using her skills in visual, interaction and industrial design. She has also worked within industry and spent just over 4 years at Skype as an in-house interaction designer. Designing interactions that were used worldwide generating significant income for Skype.
She currently works as a freelance designer and has worked for a number of start-ups including HouseTrip and Ticket.com. During this time she is also studying for her PhD, investigating how physicality and embodiment can influence the user experience of digital technology.
